Next Meeting: 5.08.12

Presentation Topic:  SIEM: The Tangible and Intangible ROI
Presented By: Trey Ackerman. Director of System Engineering (North America), AlienVault
Description: Trey Ackerman will discuss the value proposition of SIEM from two perspectives; the C-level view of SIEM as it relates to risk management, and the security analyst's view as it relates to stopping and catching the bad guys. Finally, this session will address how to bridge the gap between these disparate mindsets by applying a SIEM solution through a framework of compliance, reporting and process management.

Bio: Trey Ackerman has over 25 years of hands on IT experience working closely with customers to understand their requirements and then partnering with them to design, deply, customize and optimize enterprise grade IT security solutions that deliver on those requirements. His deep knowledge and experience of LAN/WAN network engineering, Linux/Unix/Windows system administration, server virtualization strategies, SOA-based application development and deplyment experience and systems integration skills ensure the success of even the most complex of projects. In addition, Trey's ability to take complicated subject matter and distill it down to usable and actionable information make him a sought out instructor and speaker.
