Security Director, Pleasanton, CA:
Our client, a leader in their industry, is
looking for a Security Director to join their team in Pleasanton, CA. In this
role, you will be responsible for supporting enterprise security though policy
development, implementation and training; access control administration, and
internal auditing. Security administration activities include incident
management; internal audits and reviews requiring frequent communication with
internal staff as well as outside auditors and customer security, compliance and
risk assessment teams.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a security advisor for west coast
staff regarding policies and security best practices;
Develop policies and standards to mitigate
risk to the corporation, enhance ability to audit, and ensure contractual
compliance;
Develop and maintain security systems to
provide secure application services;
Conduct audits, reviews and tests to ensure
compliance with security policies and customer contracts security
provisions;
Perform and/or interpret network
vulnerability scans and track remediation;
Support external security audits and tests
and track remediation of findings;
Monitor and maintain access control systems;
Monitor and maintain security and
surveillance systems;
Assist in security reviews of software and
deployment designs;
Chair the Personnel and Physical team of the
Security Review Committee;
Support answering customer and prospect
queries regarding security issues;
Assist in developing and executing
requirements of customer security plans;
Assist in promoting and providing direct
training to maintain security awareness;
Serve on Incident Response team; and
Be able to be on-call 24x7 for security
related issues.
Skills and Experience Required:
Technical experience in a variety of IT
production and networking environments;
Familiarity with very large volume and
multi-platform computing environments;
Past experience in programming with
conceptual understanding of development issues;
Knowledge of current security issues,
trends, and best practices;
Ten plus years experience in positions of
increasing complexity and responsibility;
Highly organized, strong communication,
presentation and documentation skills;
Ability to comfortably and effectively
interact with staff at all levels across the enterprise;
Ability to handle multiple priorities
simultaneously;
Knowledge of SAS-70 and ISO-177799/27001
desirable;
Knowledge of EU security directives and IT
operations in Europe desirable
Education:
BA/BS
Industry security certifications like a
CISSP, CISM, etc. desirable
